You may get lucky...
The few of my US targets that I've located are listed in the SSDI by married name.

On a side note... does someone know how the SSDI is updated? Who notifies the appropriate government agency, is it the local (state?) government, or is the onus on the family of the deceased? My question is related to some information found in the SSDI record for one of my targets; the "mother's maiden name" is given, but, possibly because of foreign European accents, appears to be mis-spelled quite severely. I can picture "the informant" (who I believe was the deceased's 73 year old sister) trying to speak the name of her sister's mother (and her own) in a thick Finnish accent and being mis-heard by whoever was recording the information, probably someone unfamiliar with non-English languages

Thanks. One of the people I was looking for and appears under her married name. As it is a rare name, Mehrhof, I'm hoping it's her as the date of birth seems to be spot on.

Good site.

I found the following:

Name: John Marr
Birth Date: 03 Jan 1898
Certificate Number: 15

It's still a long shot but I believe one of my relatives, John Russell Marr, emigrated to the USA in 1885 and lived in Kings as posted above. This has the possibility of being a child of his if he did indeed marry. He would have been 31 at the time.
