Ivie, Ivey or Ivy used to be a not uncommon given name in Ayrshire and the South West, - thought by some to be originally connected with a pet form of Ivor.

You didn't take to the name Willie Mina
It is probably a mistranscription of Williamina which was quite a common way to name a girl, adding 'ina' to a boys name.
William was common in your tree.
It happened more in Highland & Island families so it may be a clue to Hebridean or Highland ancestry. Don't rule it out.
