He sent them to me too!! My Thomas and Elizabeth Carson had 16 children; I only knew of 9.

One new name and date of birth/death but the six other new children are not named...they died in infancy

. How sad for them. Hard hard times.
One thing I know, my Irish Carsons were certainly not poor (My other Irish are REALLY poor, hehe). The headstone is huge and still well preserved by the look of it. And I have a Scottish relative that can now take a drive to Ayr and have a look for himself too.
What a wonderful man Kenny is, to have spent so much time doing this work!

Hello all,
thanks to Janet for posting this. I can only echo the comments of others about the enormous amount of time that Kenny has put into this for the benefit of strangers. Last night I requested 4 pictures in which I was interested, and I offered to make a donation for him to continue his work. The pictures arrived early this morning with a note stating that simple thanks were enough. Kenny deserves far more than simple thanks.
Regards,
John

I too have received 3 wonderful photos...1 of which contained data that led me to a MC that I wouldn't have found without the inscription pointing the way.
Not only did I get photos but Kenny also told me the reason why certain stones that should have appeared in Wallacetown Cemetery seemed to be missing. He told me that if they had fallen face down or were deteriorated to the point of illegibility then he did not photograph them. Unfortunately according to the book of MI's I have there were 3 in a row there that were mine...but he has no photos. Sad to say I now know the stones are either lying flat or time has erased their faces.
Kenny deserves a high commendation for all his efforts!!
Best wishes
Jean

Thanks Janet
For those of you who haven’t had a GOOD look at Kenny’s site, I’d advise you to spend some time there. I’ve received four headstone photos from him, and all four have knocked a few bricks out of some walls for me. I’m very surprised at the spelling variations between the B/M/D certificates and the names on the headstones. And also the ages between the death certificates and the headstones.
Kenny is a remarkable man to have done all this work and I agree with John that he deserves much more than a “Thank-you” for taking the time to help us.
Bob

Thanks for the site. I have spent hours going round Kilmarnock Cemetary looking for headstones with no success but I have spotted at least one of mine on this site with just a quick look so far.
