Two of the most quintessential "Englishmen" were David Niven (born reportedly in Kirriemuir we'll haveto wait until 2011 to find out for sure) AND Patrick McNee (Steed from the Avengers). But what most people don't know is that they were cousins.
Searching for Keogh, Kelly, Fitzgerald, Riddell, Stewart, Wilson, McQuilkin, Lynch, Boyle, Cairney, Ross, King, McIlravey, McCurdy, Drennan and Woods (to name but a few).

Also looking for any information on Rathlin Island, County Antrim, Ireland.

Hi

Got 18 as well due to a natural inclination to disown the current leadership!!

I did however remember that it was Jane Franchi. I think I met her once somewhere.

Ooh Jim controversy over David Niven - believe it or not I read "The Moon's a Balloon" years ago , but I can't remember anything about it now...

Of course I have double-checked with FreeBmd and a James David G Niven was registered 2nd quarter 1910 ..

Sally
I'm claiming 19/20 now , still doesn't excuse me for "Oor Tone" though.

I got 18/20 I wasn't sure about Tony Blair and thought they were tricking me because he has a Scottish name. All I know is that he was in the same class as Rowan Atkinson. The other one was Irwin Welsh, didn't know him at all.

I guess "ah'm higorant!"

May I show my ignorance which can be blamed on my having emigrated to France many years ago and ask "Who is Rowan Atkinson?"

Blairs are one of my main lines of research, so I did know of Tony's origins. And no we are not related! :D

Best wishes

Catriona

Rowan Atkinson is an actor, mainly comedy, best known for his lead role in the TV series "Blackadder".

All the best,

AndrewP

P.S. Looks like I go to the bottom of the class - 16/20
