I apologise for previously being a bit vague. I am not related to your McArthur clan in Australia. But perhaps I am.

However, can I ask, why you have not found any of your McArthur in Australia?

I have only one- Allison Muir McArthur b. 1891 Portobello, Scotland. Died 1949 in Australia. As Allison Muir Mcarthur Bannatyne (first husband) & Allison Muir McArthur Maltwood (second husband).

Allison Muir McArthur Mother was Marion Allison Muir and her Father was Robert Mcarthur / MCcartney. Marion Allison Muirs Father was William Muir and her Mother was Margaret Wares. Robert McArthur / McCartney Father was John McCartney / Mcarthur and his Mother was Agnes McLay.

You surely have many more of both your and my relatives to find between South Africa, New Zealand & Australia?
