Thankyou to you too mr-aitch...your pm was extremely interesting and was much appreciated too. yes marilyn it was a great help to me and I was very gobsmacked at the response on here...everyone is very friendly and cant thank you all enough for your help...I don't think Ive ever been as close to finding my Dad as what I am now xxx

Changing topic, Stuart, but I note you are researching Jacks. I have an Elizabeth Hay McMurray who married a John Jack in Renfrew in 1866. They had nine children that I know of, including two sets of twins, all born in Renfrew between 1868-1883. Do you think there is any connection?
Searching for McMurray, Pollock, McLean, Shearer, Jamieson, Plumpton.

Thankyou for asking....YES Ive found him with the help of a very nice gentleman (he knows who he is) :D Ive also got 2 half sisters....Im talking lots on the phone to them all at the minute and hoping to go see them very soon...Thankyou to everyone on the board for all their support and help...Keep up the fantastic work...you all help bring people happiness!
