Clemison
Hi,
A Samuel Clemison born 1849,Scotland is also resident in Wilson Missouri in 1880. Almost certainly a brother of George and son of Sarah and Samuel. Scotlandspeople have a Samuel Clemison son of Samuel Clemison and Sarah Campbell born 1849 in Kirkgudzeon (see 1851 Carluke census). There is also a George Clemison born 1844 in Crossmichael to a George and Sarah.Not sure why Sarah appears as Margaret on the 1851 census, but almost certainly the same family that later turns up in Missouri. Samuel Clemison married Sarah Campbell in 1841 in Holywood.
