Hi Sarah,
There are about 70 LDS Family History Centres in France. See the list found by searching on the following webpage.
http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Library ... et_fhc.asp
Hopefully one of them is within reasonable distance of where you are.
All the best,
AndrewP

Sarah
Hope you can get help from one of the LDS centres in your part of France. I found the situation impossible in Paris. You were told they couldn't admit any more people, to call back in 6 months. No possibility of joining a waiting list or even visiting the centre. 6 months later you called to be told to call back in 6 months. In the end I gave up!
Regards
Catriona

Morning, Catriona!
Hmmm. That doesn't sound too hopeful! But maybe that's just Paris? One of the ones near me is only open by appointment, but the other has hours posted on the LDS site, but I notice the site is otherwise often out of date ("renovations in 2004", etc.). So I am not sure what I will find. I'll let you know if I have any luck.
Regards,
Sarah

Hello all
Well I received my copies of the 1881 Census and the BVRI on Thursday, so after my little glitch in the beginning (I think I was in such a hurry to try out my new toys that I forgot to load the first disc of one of the sets
) I have been like a wain in a sweetie shop
I purchased my copies from LDS Distribution centre in NSW, and the total coast was fairly reasonable I think.
The BVRI is the 2nd Ed. and it would appear that there is added/updated information on it. The parent search covers 25 years, which would be the average child bearing age of women in those days.
I was chuffed about the extra information on my long deid yins. I think there is more information on some/most of them than on IGI.
I have found at least 16 more long lost rellies in just a short time, and no I havent spent all day using it
I havent checked any of the long losts with only lassies from IGI as yet as I am just taking my time, and doing the odd one from each main line, but I have found the odd extra wain
The other good thing is that you dont have to click each individual as they are all on same page, with the clicked information is on a half screen below, so it means you dont have to go back on your search.
LDS! I think they have done a brilliant job on the CD's, and no submissions!
Oh and I did an OPR search on SP for some and they are there.
