Believe it or not, eeumph years ago I started "playing around" with MS Access and ended up travelling all around the UK, and even went to Amsterdam and Toronto earning big bucks as a freelance consultant.

Never underestimate what you can learn by just "playing around" with a piece of software.

You might be TS's potential Family Atlas guru :D

Very true and good advice, Mary, but....

...knowing myself, I'd be very surprised if that happened :)

Anne,

I think you may already have been designated as the TS Family Atlas guru.

Remember that "in the land of the blind the one-eyed man is king" :)

You've certainly gone a long way to answer my query re National Grid location info (I do this at present for all my People/Events in a spreadsheet and will therefore find it quite easy to translate these to Family Atlas).

I am at present looking to acquire a new PC with a bit more oooomph as Google Earth swallows up system resources like nothing on Earth (pun intended).

Thanks again

Jack
I'd like to be apathetic but I really can't be bothered.

Looking for blacksheep & not finding any with
Groats & Stevensons in Orkney, Hood's in Dundee/Angus, Mclaren's in Clackmannan and Jolly's in Kincardineshire. There may be more!
