I thought it had to be her! And of course, Oscar is really Oram also

Yes, that sounds more than likely to me, given the other evidence.

I think you have proven it just about as much as can be proven, Jean. And the fact that there are not umpteen Farishes about does help to convince me. Great work! :D

All the best,
Sarah

Jean and all you wonderful folks at TS, I do not know what to say. I am sitting here crying my eyes out as I cannot believe how much time and trouble you have gone to trying to help me. Jean, you are a wonder! All of this together is so incredible.

I know one cannot just assume things in the world of family history, but I have been known to have a few good vibes about things over the years and this sure sounds and looks like it really could be the girl I'm looking for.

My Agnes, was raised by her aunts Agnes and Mary, it appears that she never really knew my ancestor, her mother Jean. So perhaps she always felt that Mary was her "mother". Or as you suggest the grandmother, Mary Dixon McMeekan is the one she refers to.

I truly thank you for all the personal attention and I so grateful for the help, you have given me so much to work with. Again I can't say this enough....you are all a great bunch of people. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Ruth
