When you say 'deleted from MOD archives' you are referring to Ministry of Defense archives, right?

Hi Frances,

Yes, I read in a thread on Rootschat referring to the Ministry of Defence Service and pension records that they 'weeded the files for deaths around/before 1946 and kept a few for samples'

Hope its not necessarily the case??!!
