Hi all,
The posts I haven't read stay a different color until I have opened them, no matter how many times I have logged in and out in the interim. Is this not the case for others? If so, I'm not sure what I did... but it works :D
Regards,
Sarah

Like Sarah, my TS screen shows differently for read and unread topics and posts. Although mine are the same colour, the unread ones are bright blue but the ones I have read are more muted. I don't remember when I noticed it, but it was quite a while after I joined, so it may not be something that immediately registers.

Like Sarah and Frances, I've noticed the topics change from dark blue to a more muted blue after reading. There have been several occasions I haven't received the email notifying me of activity but it doesn't matter, I usually go through everything anyway and know if I've read a post before...and if I've read it, no big deal... I simply go on to the next topic. :)

Anne H

:-k hmmm.
At the bottom of the main forum page, there are three explanatory symbols:
New posts (an orange arrow)
No new posts (a blue arrow)
Forum is locked (a blue padlock)

Every forum that contains a post I haven't yet opened has the orange arrow-- so it is very easy to tell from the blue one. Similarly, every topic within the forum that hasn't been opened has the orange arrow... Is this possibly a difference in browsers?

Sarah

Hi Sarah
Is this possibly a difference in browsers?
How things look generally on the forum will also be affected by which "board style" you have chosen in your profile, whether Quijibo (which it sounds like you are using) or subsilver.

Best wishes
Lesley

Hi Lesley,
I thought I just took the default style... I see that subsilver is a bit less colorful, but the orange color on the unread messages is still there.

Sarah

Hi
The difference between the muted blue and the brighter blue appears to depend on whether you have clicked on the main topic title or not.
If you click on the little rectangular orange icon, (like the white one next to where it says posted time at the top of this post), at the side of the topic title it will take you directly to the first unread post and doesn't seem to change the Bright/Muted blue status.
