Hello All

Well that's it all over now ... it's like Christmas, lots of planning, hard work and sleepless nights and then it's gone!

I'd like to say thank you to everyone who managed to come along today - I hope it was worth the time and effort.

I'd like to say a special thanks to Christine, Linda, Marie and David, who gave up their time to come along and shine a little ray of light on the problem that is finding your Irish ancestors. They've given us all some hope and some strategies to help ... Also to my two lovely assistants, Morag and Sheena, who checked everyone in and made sure they paid!

Most of the information we had today will be available in an electronic format, so I can email to those who are interested (£3). Before heading off home, Morag, Sheena and I had dinner - and came up with more ideas ...

It was lovely to be able to put more faces to names on the site and Marie had a great idea - next year we can have a trip to Ireland!! I WON'T be organising that one! However, Marie did also have another suggestion which we'll have a wee chat about over the next few weeks, and if we can sort out a plan - we may just have another TS get together to look forward to ...

Marilyn - David took a couple of photos, so you'll get to see more of us! Now if you can just hang on until Monday, I'll email you all the presentations and documentation from my work.

I see there's a couple of folk in Australia looking for the information - so we'll work out a way for you to get the information. (Lorna may be in touch with you both - so look out for a message from her).

Cheers - and thanks again to all who contributed.

Liz

PS - Needless to say we didn't stick to the programme either!

I'm home and happy :P Thank you all for that lovely day. It was just great.

Is it ok with you if I photocopy my handouts and send a copy over to a kind lady in the Archives in Buffalo, Wyoming who has sent me good stuff and is coming over to Ireland next year to research her own family?

Also, please would you tell me who is collecting money for Perthshire I forgot to settle up with Sheena re our wee plan  :!:

Hi David,

After my attempt to zoom in on the TS name tags failed

#1 Liz is sitting near the window. Jack is sitting in the 4th row on the right and Karen and her dad are sitting to Jack's right in the third row.

#2 First row is Pandabean and AndrewP.

#3 Karen, her dad and Jack.

Regards
Marilyn

Or try the panoramic (well, sort of) view. Apologies to those who appear twice.

To my other side is Lorna Allison. AnneM is hiding at the back of the class, to the left of Jack. Marie is at the far right, a row or two behind Liz.

All the best,

AndrewP
