Gillan/Stomberg/Stoddart... Please HELP!!!

I did just go back to the Scotland website and found three Charles Stoddarts listed in 1898. See, I was thinking 1899 because his age was listed as 56 on his death certificate and it was 1955. I looked at it again and he died on Jan. 2nd, so he most likely would have been 57 that year. Is this making sense? I will have to check them out in the morning. It has been a long day!

Did you see the 1901 census results Sarah has posted further up this thread?Yes, I tried that and nothing came up. I really wish I knew more.
Ah, I thougth you had n exact date from sometwhere else, family bible or whatever... if you do not have an exact date it is always best to keep an open mind and search a couple of years either side of your estimated date.I did just go back to the Scotland website and found three Charles Stoddarts listed in 1898.
