Best wishes
Lesley
The 1861 is confusing at Ancestry which is why I didn't post it. She is with Margaret Murray age 33 (should be 23?) and Jane Murray age 77  (should be 17?). 1871 she's on her own.

Annette
1 1861 CLARK MARY F 78 CALTON (GLASGOW) GLASGOW/LANARK
2 1861 CLARK MARY F 79 TRADESTON GLASGOW/LANARK
3 1861 CLARK MARY F 75 LANARK /LANARK

Any ideas as to which one??? Or is she even still in Lanarkshire?

Was just about to answer your post - glad you found her! :D Of course it didn't help that I had said Margaret instead of Mary.

Annette

You had a look at the death of Mary Clark on SP , other name Harvey born +/- 2yrs of 1787 who died in Lanarkshire, Dalserf in 1875??
Or David Rennie's death entry in 1864 to see who his parents were, as suggested by Annette?
Suspension is killin' me!!

...and at least the '61 confirms the gradddaughter bit. Makes it far less likely that it was an Ancestry mistake/mistranscription etc. which was always a wee niggle in the back of my mind.

Spooky indeed - I didn't even notice!

I wonder if Ann Rennie was the mother in law of Isabella Rennie?? Can you tell me who was head and what relation the Rennie's were to the head? I've only got 2 credits left at SP for now and if I buy more I'll be here all night and our visitors will have to clear themselves a space to sit down.

If Ann Rennie is the mother of David Rennie then that would mean that Mary Clark would be on the Murray side???? :?:
