i have never seen this info Annette , this is all new , someone gave me a Charles and Eliz at an add i think in 1862 before Frances was born ,
but was only the 2 of them then ,
going by the dates of the Children to Agnes , hes been busy ? as got children younger than James ,
and then onto Agnes McPherson in 1873 , my some man , very confusing this is ,
odd for someone with so many siblings for none to be around to sign his death cert , or help re children wise ,
ever more odd how we never heard of our Granda having any Family , was always said he was an only one , and no relations , dont think he could have known ,
it was his Death Cert that says Renfrew , thats what i meant by he couldnt have given that information out , as he would be dead , so his Mother could well be Patrick

Jan, I was trying to point out that the Charles (most likely the son of Charles Stewart and Elizabeth Patrick) who was married to Agnes Begg is not your Charles.

Finding them both in 1861 proves that.

Annette

thanks Annette
i was wondering where such a sick man got the energy , i think i seen that entry for Eliz before when searching,
just wondering the relation in USA? maybe was away by these census ,
so we knew Eliz had a Sibling just not who or what sex ,
and Frances as in Granny was a widow around 1862 when shes applied for poor relief ,
wondering if Charles isnt this Eliz Patrick , who is his Mother , when i searched SP and i did put in 1832/34 the Ellen Dorn was the only only come out ,
i also tried a Census for 1841 , just the view and just typed in Charles aged around 8 i only got the same woman ,
i couldnt get any with an Elizabeth , if his age is right on Death Cert as 40 ,would make his DOB1832/33/34 ,
do i have enough info to try SP again ? if so what will i try looking for as 30 credits dont go far

tried the births in SP for a Charles born 1830- 1835 to a Chas and Elizabeth , just put Renfrew , but no area , nothing
took away the mothers name , got 1 match - Stewart- Dorn ,
tried a marriage for both of them from 1820 -1835 , no marriage ,

no signs of a Eliz Stewart ms Renfrew dying ,

tried the birth of Charles Sen , i have 4 possibles with Father as William ,
didnt add a Mothers name ,
i expect looking for Charles born 1806 , wont help with the other Charles
so bang goes that idea ,
