Thanks Karen, any info you would like to share would be great :)

As far as having traced the Chalmers back to the 1600's WELL DONE!!! I can't even imagine how I will be able to go back that far being here in Australia, but I'll give it a good go!!

So our Great grandparents were brother and sister which makes your great grandfather my great uncle. In terms of us as cousins down the line what would I be to you? You are so lucky to have the resources closeby and if I am ever lucky enough to get over for a holiday I am sure I will love being able to search deeper :) Actually my Mum is over in the Uk at the moment on holiday (lucky thing) wonder if there is anything I could get her to look up for me as I am very stumped on my dad's father's side and the surname Main is hardly unusual. Oh well, thanks so much once again and feel free to please PM any info whenever it suits you :)

Take care,
Senga

Hi Senga,

i have sent you a PM with Parsell/Brownlee information. As for what that makes me to you i am not sure, i will try and work it out. I put my email address in the PM so maybe we can keep in touch and see what happens.

If there is any information i could look at for you the next time im out doing research let me know and i will try my best to help.

I assume you have tried looking for information using the IGI - www.familysearch.org.
Although the information only goes up to about 1875 if you can get back that far using scotlands people then try the IGI and see what you can come up with.

Good luck

Karen

Hi Senga and Karen

If you share the same great great grandparents then you are officially "third cousins"
