Hi all
I've had time to have a brief look through my copy now and it is really informative. Just like the wee book was, but much better, 'cos there is much more in it! Plenty good stuff for beginners and seasoned researchers too I think.
(If everyone on here bought and read it I think the number of questions on TS might just plummet and we could find ourselves spending a year with our feet up!!
)
Best wishes
Lesley

HEAVEN FORBID LESLEY
Just couldn't have all the Mods and Admins sitting with their feet up
We would just have to think of something diabolical for you to do.
HAPPY NEW YEAR

Hi All, there I was thinking a good saltatorial read on its way, when Amazon decided to postpone delivery by not a day or two; looks like others are buying the book up and we in far places take second place!
"We are sorry to report that the following items have been delayed.
Rosemary Bigwood (Author) "The Scottish Family Tree Detective:
Tracing Your Ancestors in Scotland (Family Tree Detective)"
Our current estimate is that it will take an additional 4-6 weeks to
obtain these items for you.
We are sorry for any inconvenience this causes."
A more than slightly inconvenienced,

I buy books from Amazon frequently and when they say 4-6 weeks it usually means the book is out of print.DavidWW wrote:Whit ??!!Thrall wrote:.....snipped ............

Hello Thrall,
I got the same message as you here in Australia.
I hope it isn't out of Print already.
Let us see who gets their copy first!!!

I've just had a look at ordering from Amazon.co.uk - the book is £9.99 right enough, then they want 1.99 for sourcing the item plus whatever the postage charge is (free if you order over £15).
WHSmith will take the order online and deliver to your local store for free, with delivery 1-2 weeks. We shall see
Hope I'm not breaking any rules by mentioning that shop.
Best wishes

Hi Pinkshoes
If you have broken rules then the same applies to those who mentioned that on-line book supplier who pretend to be women with only one mammary gland so they can shoot their arrows - or - the longest river in the world. I'm never sure which applies.
