Hi Rivergazer,

I hope that your family have forgiven you for the mystery tour through the byways of France and that the rest of the holiday was enjoyable!

My post on the Great War Forum followed my trip to Kirkcaldy, with the intention of finding out if anyone had any suggestions as to how I could find a photo of Peter himself, or identify him in the group photos of the soldiers I found at the National Library of Scotland. The photos from Philosophe came right out of the blue. It seems that the person who helped me has a particular interest in the Black Watch and has visited the cemetery several times.

However, I'm still very grateful of your offer, which you made right at the very start of my search for information about Peter, and I appreciate that you took time out from your family holiday to help me. It was extremely generous of you.

Best wishes

Brian

Hi Brian

Good to hear from you and to know that your search for Peter is progressing and that you are still interested in the photo.

We ended up taking loads of war grave photos. It might take me a bit of time to delve through them all before I find the photo for you. I will get back once I find it. :)
