Hi Wendy

If it is the correct Mary then you should be able to find her in 1861. Again it would have to be SP as Freecen Volunteers have not transcribed 1861 yet.

The name of the informants on the death certs could be interesting. Let us know how you get on

Best wishes
Jean

Will do Jean ..
I'll look up the 1861 census first, then if it figures out i'll get their death details :D

Looking for details of a John (Jack) Henderson b1916? in Glasgow area? He was adopted as a child & possibly brought to the Netherly area of Aberdeenshire.

Hi Wendy

If it were me I'd go down the route of the death certs. Especially Mary's as there can't be many of them with the surnames Clark and Coutts dying in Kinellar and being about the right age.

Best wishes
Jean

Hi Jean

It's her!!! :D

Mary Clark ( widow of Charles Clark) died on 12.1.1865 aged 74 yrs In the burgh of Old Machar, Aberdeen. Address was 23 Dee Village Aberdeen, thats why we couldn't find her in Kinellar !!

Father was John Coutts ( labourer) deceased
Mother was Margaret Coutts( m.s. Grant) also deceased.
The witness was her son .. ANDREW Clark, usual address 13 Dee Village, Aberdeen.

Your some detective .. gonna call you Miss Marple now :D

Just need to look up Charles now .. then its bed for me
