Re Irish research

Post by Lorna B. » Tue Jan 30, 2007 12:18 pm

It is a wonderful opportunity. I have walked many cemetries in Ireland but can never find the background paperwork to support any information that I find. Please include me on the list of people to attend the conference in Glasgow. I had given up on some of my Irish family history, maybe I can start again.

Hi

I can't remember if I've said I would like to come but I certainly would. Have you got definitive timings yet. I suspect it will be the red eye express for me!

Hi Karen
Normally, any email address given on the forum will have the @ replaced by AT in order to prevent the address being picked up by software whch scans the web looking for addresses to which to send spam. Just replace the AT with @ when emailing and all should be well.

Lorna - it may have been the same problem which you encountered. :D

Best wishes
Lesley

Hooray it has gone with no problem.:D I am a numpty, I had read the notice about excluding the 'scanners' by using AT and I forgot.
Cheers,
Lorna

Hi

Yes there are spaces. We plan to start at 09:30 and run through most of the day. (I might let you have a wee break for coffee/lunch around 12.30 ish!!).

There are tea/coffee machines (and chocolate, crisps etc) but I'd suggest you all bring along sandwiches or something to sustain you through the day ...

There are no catering facilites on a Saturday, but we will be able to use a common room for a wee break midway through the day.
