Post by utrecht003 » Mon Sep 17, 2007 3:46 pm

Still trying to find Alexander Macleod Born Illigit. to Catherine Macleod 1868 In Muckairn, Clascarraig,Argyll. On his Marriage and Death cert His father was given as Malcolm Macleod. But I Know nothing other than that.
I also believe Parish records are missing for that period. Question .Has anyone got them or know where I could find them, also, Muckairn I have been to, but "Clascarraig" does that mean anything to anyone.

Hi ,

This looks very much like him from IGI. As it is an extracted record, I would have thought it would be on SP. Try searching with McLeod...

Sorry I can't help with Malcolm but a zoom in on this map showing Muckairn finds a 'Claisvorraig'. Nearest I can find to Clascarraig.
