Was looking at a family tree and saw the initials OBVP under a childs name. Anyone any ideas what these initails stand for :?

Thank you for that. As this child was born in Corstorphine Edinburgh I don't know why this abbrevation would be after the name.

Ob often stands for died. You sometimes see dsp for deceased without (sine) progeny. I wonder if this might just be a version of the same thing or similar. Do you know if that child died young?
