Daisy Hill Hospital, Newry, Co. Down.

Can anyone help me with information on the above location?

I've recently been told that the above, Daisy Hill Hospital, was originally built by my McCulloch family in the 19th Century. It seems that, according to 'family lore', they ended up bankrupt after new safety rulings came into play after they had been awarded the contract.

Can anyone help. I've tried googling Daisy Hill every which way you can imagine, but nothing in the correct time period.

My sanity is in serious jeopardy here!

If you go here http://www.ixquick.com/ and type in Daisy Hill Hospital, Newry, Co. Down you'll find a number of references to Daisy Hill ...this being one of the references:

Newry Poor Law Union and Workhouse
