Hi Denis,
I think I would be sending a contact form to SP for this one to ask for a better copy. The missing details have been cut off.
I didn’t see any mention of Alexander on here http://www.cwgc.org/debt_of_honour.asp?menuid=14 or http://www.britishwargraves.org.uk/
Regards,
Anne H

Hi Dennis,
I think this is the one you are seeking on the CWGC website.
Name: McKENNA
Initials: A
Nationality: United Kingdom
Rank: Private
Regiment/Service: Royal Scots
Unit Text: 2nd Bn.
Date of Death: 24/01/1917 probably should be 24/10/1917
Service No: 34681
Casualty Type: Commonwealth War Dead
Grave/Memorial Reference: XXI. C. 14.
Cemetery: ETAPLES MILITARY CEMETERY
But until you get a better image of it from SP or GROS which shows his service number, that will be difficult to prove. The writing in the left-most column may well say Pte. 2nd Bn. The writing in the title section probably says Royal Scots Regiment
He should also show on the Scottish National War Memorial website, but that site is not working just now.

All the best,
AndrewP

Hi Dennis,
Now the SNWM website is up and running again, it shows the soldier above to be Andrew McKenna.
However they have this one who is the one you are seeking.
