Hi Ellen
Is there any chance either George Parker or Helen McFarlane, (or maybe even both) survived until after 1855? If so, it would be worth looking for a death for them as that may give the names of the parents.

Are they still around in the 1851 census?

Best wishes
Lesley

Hi Ellen,

The mother's first name is Cunningham, but as for the maiden surname, I think it is Forsyth.

All the best,
