Looking for info on the family of Robert Stewart who married 1st Jean Balbirnie and had children> jean 1756, Janet 1759, Elizabeth 1761 [m John Alexander at Dunkeld] helen 1763, John 1765, Hellen 1770 & Ann 1773. All born Coupar Angus
Robert married 2nd Clementina Laird 30/10/1773 @ meigle. Had children Patrick b 1774 at Coupar Angus and Peter 1774 at Coupar Angus. peter died 1855 and was married to Elspeth McLaggan.
Robert may have been the son of john Stewart and Margaret Brown m 11/12/1716 Coupar and John the son of Robert 1676 Kinclaven?

Can’t really help you apart from suggesting you try a google search for "robert stewart""jean balbirnie" (including the quotes) It will bring up a number of people with a similar interest. You may have already seen these.

Thanks Alan. I have done that, there was one person tracing the same family but no answering emails. pretty frustrating. Cheers pam
