Hi Xenai
Can you tell us where you have looked already?

As far as I remember it can be quite difficult to trace back further in Ireland unless the Parish Records were well kept & have survived. Have you tried IGI?

Did this couple end up in Scotland? If so, their deaths would be worth looking for, as that should name the parents.

Best wishes
Lesley

If you purchase the marriage certificate (which is possible to do from GRONI, GROIE or Registrars Office in Londonderry), it should give you the respective father's name for the bride and groom, but not the mother's names.

Sorry about multiple reply - keep getting 'bad gateway' message when trying to post....very strange indeed.

Edit by SarahND: I got rid of the duplicates-- the server is very sluggish this morning. Not sure what's up.

Forgot to say, have assumed Marriage was non-Roman Catholic. If Roman Catholic, no certificate available pre 1864.

Just had a quick look on Emerald Ancestors - the couple married in Bellaghy First Presbyterian Church in Ballyscullion.

They probably knew two of my lot, who were in Bellaghy around the same time (Currie family)!
