Hi Willow:
Have you checked ScotlandsPeople for her in the 1901 census? If not, perhaps you could let us know where you've already looked.
I checked ScotlandsPeople 1901 census for McCabe | Catherine | female | ages 16 - 19 and there are only 2 listed in Scotland. She may have been working away from her parents' home. Have you looked at those? Unfortunately, my credits have expired at this point.

Hi there,
I don't know if this helps or not. I checked Ancestry for all Catherine McCabe's on the 1901 census and there is one possibility.
There is a 21 year old Catherine McCabe as a boarder at 54 Giles Street in Leith. Her occupation is Boiler Maker Spinster.
I'll keep my fingers crossed that she might be your Catherine!
Best wishes
Kelly

Hi
It looks as if the one identified by Kelly is the most likely. There is a Kate McCabe, allegedly born in Alloa, in Ballingry in 1901. There is no sign of a Kate/Catherine McCabe born in Alloa at the right time but this Kate is with her grandfather John McCabe and I see that your Catherine's grandfather was Owen McCabe so that can't be her.
