:) help please , info limited,,John Dunlop born 1870 died 2/12/1951 in glasgow, wife Agnes Jane Kerr( possibly Irish) died late Dec:1951 /early Jan:1952 also Glasgow ,Parents Jonh and Grace Dunlop nee Devine, any info on parents and/or siblings would be helpful ,thank you. emma

Hi emma and Welcome!

Have you found John with parents on any Scottish census yet? Do you know if he was born in Scotland? I quickly looked in the 1881 census for them and have found nothing conclusive...however.....a search of the death records on Scotland's People using Grace and surname of Dunlop and additional surname of Devine has one result in the year 1889. Have you looked at this record yet?

Dear Emma,
My name is William Kerr, (I live in Melbourne ,Australia.)
My Stepfgrandfather on my mothers side was called James Dunlop.He married my grandmother Bridget Devlin.

I am not sure if we could possibley have a connection with your John Dunlop, as James father was a William Dunlop,and mother was a Jane McVey, They came from Kilwininning,Ayr.To my knowledge they had the following ckildren:
William Kerr Dunlop..abt 1880.
Agnes Kerr Dunlop ..abt 1882.
James Kerr Dunlop..abt 1885.
Danial Kerr Dunlop.. abt 1882
Thomas Ker Dunlop..abt 1887.
James 1st marrage was to a Margaret Johnston, before he married my grandmother. Bridget Devlin(M.S. Watters)
