Have you tried searching SP for her parents marriage? You should have her mother's maiden name from Agnes's marriage entry.

Hi Pearlite,

The Longmuir caught my eye because a quarter of my father's family are Longmuir/Longmores but they are from Banffshire.

Here is a 1901 Census entry for the family of Agnes Thomson Longmuir b. 1906--I think!

This is from Ancesty. Notice the parents names are Langmuir and the kids are Longmuir. :roll:

I had a look at the birth cert. for Agnes b. 1906. Her full name is Agnes Scott Thomson Longmuir which is also given for her mother.

Yes thanks Carol that is my Longmuir they seem to be from Airdrie New Monkland I do have this Census 1901. I do not have the Birth Certificate, seems I have to join up with Scotlands People for this. I have Agnes Scott for mother but found some other entry as Agnes Maxwell somewhere. My other half thinks it is Agnes Thomson Longmuir. Like to go further down the THOMSON line ANDREW B1843 father mother Christina Scott B 1841.

Thanks for your interest Annette Yes I will have to eventually bite the bullett and take up SP membership it seems expensive I did have a go soa couple of years ago just lost all my Credits without any luck actually did not get to view anything I was doing it at the Library (not on IT at home) I don't think they had the right viewing programme.
