I have had a reply regarding my grandfarther from scotlands gov regarding records of my grandfarthers wedding on the 27th April 1908 at newbattle they have informed me the record states his name was Alexander Tait Scott who married Marion D French. I have been again onto Scotlands People to look up the record with the new information but Im still getting the search coming back with no match am I doing something wrong with the site any help would be apreciated

Its not just you! I can't find any trace of that record either on SP.

I've also tried searching 1900-1915 for a Scott/French or a T*t*/French marraige and found no joy.

Sorry not to be of much help.

I have again been on to Scotts Gov They have now stated that I should put in the middle inatial so it should now be Alexander t Scott Insted of Alexander Tait Scott I still come up with a blank is there a santa out there somewhere please Marridge date 27th April 1908 spouse Marion D French at Newbattle

If you search for Marion Trench you will find it.
