The last I hear of it was 1947.

Hi Dennis,
On the current map of Kirkintilloch, there is Back o' Dykes Road in Kirkintilloch. Go to www.streetmap.co.uk and enter the postcode G66 3LR. The pointer arrow in the centre of the picture obscures the road, which is scarcely recognisable as it has been inhumanely abbreviated to BA. O. D. R. (Click elsewhere in that square to move the arrow out of the way).
I have no idea if Back o' Dykes Road is the same as was Back o' Dykes Land, or if it is a more recent build in much the same place.
