Apparently Ancestry are offering free access to WWI records until 30th April 2009, as a commemoration of ANZAC Day

I have looked for a record of James Bell but can't find any.
Private 3rd Battalion
RSF No 12516.
Birth Year 1882.
Born Irvine Ayrshire.
Parish of Dundonald.
He did survive the war.

I can't find any of mine either maybe because they are R&S &W's I am looking for.
Found a lovely full account of a Greer but alas no Scott(there should be three & we have my Grandpa's original Army records),Ross or Waddell.
