Looking for Cameron/Ross family from Paisley

Hi,
I am searching for any family over in Scotland!

My great grandmother was Annie Cameron. Born 1873
She married John Hamilton in Paisley in 1896.

Their son, my grandfather was Robert Cameron Hamilton.
I do know there were other siblings. Just can't find that right now.

Annies Parents were: Hugh Cameron and Maggie Ross, 1901 census.
They were married March 1st 1872.
Children were: Annie, Agnes, Hugh, Cathren.

Hugh Cameron's parents were: Hugh and Agnes~surname Sutherland
Annies parents were: James Ross and Rosanna~surname Rae

The last address I do have of John Hamilton and Annie Cameron Hamilton was: 81 Causeyside Street in Paisley.

If anyone can help, that would be awesome!

Hi Dana,

You don't mention when your grandfather was born, but you should be able to find his parents in the 1901 census with any children they had in the 1st 4/5 years of marriage.

Finding thier death certificates could also reveal a son , if he registered their death and perhaps your grandfather's marriage certificate may yield a sibling as witness.

As you have the parent's parent's names you should be able to locate their marriages and work backwards using that information and census data.

We aren't good at tracing forwards to living relations here but we will help if we can.

Sorry about that.
My grandfather, Robert Cameron Hamilton, was born Dec 18th 1899.

I do have the Cameron search done to the year 1782!!
So that is pretty good!

Just hoping that a living relative would see the post!
