EMILY RUTH COLQUHOUN 1868

Emily Ruth was born in Warwickshire a PURTON in 1868. In 1906 she married the grandly named clergyman Lawrence Shafto Campbell COLQUHOUN. Lawrence S.C. Colquhoun died in Edinburgh 1933. I believe it is possible Emily brought her nephew up in Scotland and am looking for clues.
Emily Ruths nephew was Lawrence Humphrey Purton born 1908 in Canada and left motherless. My next contact occurs when Lawrence, now an Army Officer, returns on leave from India in 1939. His leave address is Enderley,Edinburgh Road, Peebles. it is from this address that Lawrence marries Hannah Curley in August 1939. Emily Ruth Colquhoun is a witness at the wedding and her Enderley address is given on the document.
Any information on Lawrence Humphreys upbringing or his aunt Ruth's life particularly after the 1939 marriage would be helpful and very much appreciated.
