Scottish Heritage.....

Post by jillruss » Mon Aug 01, 2005 5:36 pm

I'm sure there must be a Scottish equivalent of English Heritage.

I found a really good 'viewfinder' website for English Heritage with old photos/postcards of English towns, villages etc.

Does anyone know of a similar website for Scotland? I'd love to download a few pictures of the places my ancestors came from.

Jill.

There are several, some concentrate on specific areas.

Are about Glasgow

Covers all of Scotland

Doing a 'google image' search for a specific place uncovers all sorts of goodies.

Thanks, Annette M for this site. I was going to "ignore" it thinking, that it would only be of interest for those with Dundee interests. Couldn't resist browsng though and was amazed and delighted to find photos from all over Scotland, including a group of strange looking hens.

All the best
