Forbes Family in Aberdeenshire

Hiya,
I've been researching my Grandfathers family for a while now - he emigrated to Australia in the early 1900's. I've traced it back to my Great Grandfather x3, William Forbes married to Jean Henderson. I have theire son's marriage certificat, my Great Grandfather x 2, but have not had any more luck.

Their son was James Forbes (?1840 - 1914) who married Ann Dow (1847 - 1926) on 27th November 1866 in Nigg, Kincardine.

Any help is much appreciated.x

Hi pj,

Do you have any other information on William and Jean? Where were they located? I see that you're asking about Aberdeenshire, but James is married in Kincardine. Have you found the family together on any of the census records? What was William's occupation also?

Any clues would help because Forbes is such a common name.
