Buchanan family, Campsie

Post by Irene C. » Fri Aug 14, 2009 10:25 am

Are there any Buchanans still living in the Campsie area
with links to James Buchanan, Kilwinnet & William Buchanan,
Cross House, Campsie who farmed there in the 1800s.
William had a daughter Cecilia who married a Dr. Andrew
Wilson. Any information would be welcome.

Hi Irene,

Were you only looking for modern day relatives? Andrew and family are on the census records right through 1901. Do you have all that information already? Andrew is still in Dunoon and Kilmun parish in 1901 with two of his daughters and several grandchildren. His wife Cecelia disappears some time between 1881 and 1891.
