Napoleonic Wars

There are - necessarily and justifiably - many resources naming Scots who enlisted or died in the World Wars. What, though, about the Napoleonic Wars? What are the best sources here?

Hi Jenny
I see there is a Napoleonic medal roll on Find My Past, but I'm sure I saw a list somewhere of those who fought - possibly only Trafalgar, I can't remember the content exacly or where I saw it. I had an interest in it as I was searching for one of the Goalens, Walter's son Thomas who, allegedly went to sea, and whose last voyage was in command of a transport which carried stores to Nelson's fleet before the battle of Trafalgar. (at around age 30 he returned to land based joinery)

Ha!! Found it - http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/abou ... ancestors/

Best wishes
Lesley

Alas, haven't had any luck with that site - even though at least one ancestor was mentioned in a newspaper (later) as being at Trafalgar..

Thanks though!
