MORAN Looking for death.....

Post by maddy706 » Sat Aug 13, 2005 6:55 am

Hi
I have been searching for the death off THOMAS MORAN born 1829 Louisburgh County Mayo.
He came too Scotland in 1862 , wife Mary Mcnamara . They lived in the following places : Stow , Edinburgh & Berwick .

I know Thomas was still alive in 1901 as i found him in census but when his son married in 1912 he was stated as deceased.
So death sometime between 1901-1912.
Last known address was Nenthorn Berwick.
I have searched Scotlands ppl & various other sites too no avail.
Plz anyone got any ideas ?
Thankyou :D [/b]

Hi Maddy,

Have you had a look at the 1910 death for THOMAS MORAN aged 71 in Duns, Berwickshire? The age seems to be out by 10 years, but that could have been a mistake (or age guessed at by an informant who knew no better). Worth a try? You decide.

All the best,

Andrew Paterson

I presume that you have downloaded the certificate from ScotlandsPeople. Try uploading it to the Gallery section here at TalkingScot, and seek some opinions of what the illegible parts say.

All the best,

Andrew Paterson

Hi Maddy,

On ScotlandsPeople, there is a likely candidate - Mary Moran / McNamara, died 1901 aged 57, Duns, Berwickshire.

All the best,

Andrew Paterson
