Dear DiMac
I did a Google search for Stronsay and Dishes and one of the links that came up was on Roots for "Tiffaney" - if that is not you, then it might be worth your while getting in touch!!
Here's the quote from Roots:-
"Arriving at Kirkwall recently I have discovered Scotts are amongst my ancestors on the Orkney Islands. My Anne Scott married a Peace (John??) on Stronsay. She may have come from another Island close by. This would be in 1800's. Am hoping one of our members may be connected to the Scott families so I can make some headway."
It would be nice if you are not Tiffaney ...

Hello Liz,

most appreciative.
You have hit the nail on the head..I also use Tiffaney as my username on some forums.
Many thanks,
DiMac

Oh well - it was worth a try ...
I have not done much of my own research over the past year or so and am just back browsing around TS to catch up.
I hope you get some progress on this soon - it is always worth while coming back to your posts here and updating with any progress you've made. We like to hear of successes - however small or long they take!
All the best.
