I’m sorry about this, but ……………
I was browsing Eastman’s Blog, looking for something genealogically important, when I came across this post, and watched the video. http://blog.eogn.com/eastmans_online_ge ... .html#more
And they said that Vista had ‘WOW’. Microsoft is certainly going backwards when it comes to winning the hearts and minds of computerised genealogists. There’s even a brief glimpse of what looks like a 5¼ inch floppy. If you’ve got your genealogical data safely tucked away on one of those you’re probably in deep trouble.
I do seem to remember finding something new and important on the Blog, but I’ve forgotten what it was, and what the heck.

I’m sorry about this one too …….
I also saw this on Eastman’s Blog. Apparently it’s supposed to be an advertisement for Internet Explorer 8. It probably belongs here with the one I posted previously about MS-DOS back in the 1990’s or whenever. http://blog.eogn.com/eastmans_online_ge ... .html#more
After watching it I’m just so glad that I’m a Firefox user.

P.S. Has anyone noticed the “most users ever online” figures? Did we have a power-spike 11.53 p.m. yesterday?

Good question. Unless you were online at that time and saw the list, then there is no way of verifying (or disproving) it.Currie wrote:P.S. Has anyone noticed the “most users ever online” figures? Did we have a power-spike 11.53 p.m. yesterday?
All the best,
