Robert Galloway

I am looking for any info on Robert Galloway. He married an Isobel Keltie on April 21, 1781 in Alloa, Clackmannan, Scotland. They had a son named Thomas on Aug 4, 1785 in Alloa. I have been trying to find "my" Thomas Galloway's parents names for years. Thomas was a baker, as his sons became....so if Robert turned out to be one also..I just might be close to findiong a match...hopefully. My Thomas married Elizabeth Campbell in Stirling on Jan 25, 1807. Their first daughter, Elizabeth, was born Dec 17, 1807 IN Alloa, Clackmannan, Scotland....leading me to think he took his wife back "home" to have the baby!

Hello Karen,

There was a Robert Galloway who was a Baker but he was in Glasgow c.1805 when he subscribed to this book. Several baking Galloways from Glasgow subscribed. http://books.google.com.au/books?id=OAE ... 22&f=false
