Hi,
I was wandering if anyone could tell me how I could find out more about an ancestor of mine who lived in Ewart Pl, Glasgow in February 1936.
His name was Robert Bruce, and he was born on 3rd Dec 1913 in New Kilpatrick, Dunbarton. His parents were William Bruce (Foreman Stonemason) & Abigail Jane Tedford.
I think he emigrated to Canada after Feb, as he was a witness at his sister Martha's wedding on the 6th of that month. Is there any way I could find out his occupation or any other details while he was at his address at Ewart Pl ? I have tried searching for his emigration records, but as it was after 1936, Ancestry don't have them after 1935.
Any ideas ?
Daryl

Hi Daryl
I've had a look on Find my Past and the only likely one I could find was a Robert Bruce, wireman, 22 Hotspur Street, Glasgow aged 35 who left on the Aquitania on 28 March 1949 but that may be too late to be your man.
