Baillie.....

Post by jaygre » Mon Aug 29, 2005 8:00 am

Can anyone out help me find more info on my G Grandfather William Baillie. The problem is I don't have much information about him but here goes

William Baillie b 1885 in Glasgow I think
married Lilian Rimmer in Liverpool 1912, his occupation when he got married was Structural errecter.
Fathers name was James Baillie down as deceased when William married, and he was a Soldier.
The address for William, was at the time, 1,Well Place Partick Glasgow
Hope to hear from someone soon

Hullo Jayne

Have you had a look at

www.Scotlandspeople.gov.uk

There are three William Ballies born in Glasgow City in 1885, one in Milton, one in Calton and one in Blackfriars.

On the 1901 Census, there is one William Baillie and one James Baillie in Partick.
It might be worth your while taking a look at one or other of those, especially the Census.

Hope this helps a little.
