After a bit of research today while looking @ the 1911 census for the Peacock family. Head Thomas Peacock wife Mary. There were 3 of the sons who seemed to have disappeared. Done a bit of searching on familysearch.org and discovered Andrew, George Wells Peacock and Thomas Peacock emigrated to America c 1908. Found them on the 1910 US census. Andrew's wife Isabella followed a year later with thier youg son Thomas. They stayed in Dayton, Ohio. I can find George on later census, he moved to Duval in Florida and married Phoebe Ryder in 1911. They had 3 sons George W. Peacock, John R Peacock and Thomas W Peacock. George d November 1972. can't seem to shed any light on the other two though.

Hi Maureen,
I'm a bit confused as to who you can't find... Are you looking for George's (b. abt 1888) other two sons or his two brothers?
Regards,
Sarah

Hi all,
Not sure which ones you're looking for either, but there are a couple of family trees on Ancestry.com for this family. One has the older Thomas dying in Duval County, FL in 1985. No spouse or children shown.

Re: Peacock
Hmm...
The tree that I mentioned above looks to be incorrect. There is another more extensive tree that has Thomas b. 1886 dying in Ohio in 1972. The Thomas Peacock who dies in Duval County, FL was also born in Florida according to the 1920 and 1930 census records.
Maureen, do you have a family tree posted on Ancestry? If you don't have a subscription, you might want to check your library or get a short term sub and have a look at these trees.

Re: Peacock
Florida has state censuses online at Ancestry for 1935 and 1945, so you can usually go farther forward there than with some other states. Andrew appears to have moved to Duval, Florida also.
We'll have to be careful not to post information that goes beyond the TS guidelines, but if you look at Ancestry, you should find them.
All the best,
Sarah

Re: Peacock
Hi again,
Little brothers Robert and James appear to have gone over to Florida also. In 1930 Robert says he came in 1917 (or 1919, hard to read) and James says he came in 1923. I don't see Robert easily in a passenger list, but James is there in 1923, just as he said.
All the best,
Sarah

Re: Peacock
FamilySearch also has the Florida State Census, 1935 and 1945, complete with images, free to view at https://www.familysearch.org/search/col ... TH_AMERICA
In 1945 there’s George W Peacock, age 57, born Scotland, living at 4628 Crescent Street, Jacksonville, with wife Phoebie, age 56, born Scotland. I haven’t checked the others.
All the best,
Alan
