Need help with Sommerville Family

Looking for information on the following children of John Sommerville & Janet Penman in the records after 1841.

1. Isabel Sommerville born April 22, 1825 at Newton, Midlothian, Scotland

2. John Penman Sommerville born March 3, 1829 at Newton, Midlothian, Scotland

3. Agnes Sommerville born December 9, 1833 in the Parish of West Linton, Peebles, Scotland

4. Janet Sommerville born January 18, 1834 at Strawfrank,Carstairs, Lanarkshire, Scotland

5. Martha Sommerville born July 15, 1830 in Midlothian, Scotland was living at Hunterfield, Cockpen Parish, Midlothian with her brother James Sommerville and his young family. She was employed at a paper mill.

There are tons of John Sommerville listings, but unfortunately the father of the groom is not usually listed, and I didn't see anything for John Penman Sommerville.

Where have you looked, so that we don't all go off doing the things you've already done? Do you have approximate DOB for James and Janet?

Have you checked the census for 1861 on ScotlandsPeople using the second 'first name'? For instance this is helpful in findng situations like Martha being with her brother.

John Sommerville born 1777 and Janet Penman born 1795 - they married July 1822 at Newton, Midlothian, Scotland.

In answer to your question about where I've already looked? I have, to this point concentrated my efforts on James Sommerville, eldest child of John and Janet, who is my direct ancestor. Now, I'm starting to look at his siblings but I haven't done much yet. I have checked FamilySearch but nothing firm there. I thought someone might have some leads.

As you can see there is neither a John nor Agnes (who was actually born 8th Jan 1834 at W Linton) in the household. Unless you have found them elsewhere in 1841 I wonder if they actually survived.
