Scotts of Midlothian.....

My Grandfather said the Scotts were Sheep thieves &Border Reivers. His Grandfather John Scott claims Melrose approx.1813 as his Birthplace Parents John&Margeret. He marries HELEN VEITCH IN 1841 in her home Parish of Eddlestone Peebles-her Parents John VEITCH & ANN CRAIK.
They moved to Glencorse in 1841 where their children were all born-JANET LIDDELL CHRISTIE(SPOUSE JOHN CHRISTIE) 1841,John1&2,William1847,James 1850,Andrew1855 &Duncan 1857.
William married Christina Taylor Young children ANDREW,WILLIAM,JOHN,HELEN(NELLIE GIBSON)CATHERINE(KATE LINLEY)
William junior was married to Christina TOPPING & was KIA WW1.
The Linleys emigrated to PHIPPEN in SASK.Canada.
Anybody recognise this link? I was told that William jun& Christina Topping had a Posthoumus son but have been unable to find him(supposedly with the middle name of YYpres where his Father was killed.)
We have photos of this boy who looks very likes his cousin my dad. :)

Have just discovered another child for the Scotts CHRISTINA born 28/06/1890. She is not on the 1891 Census but is on the 1901. :oops:
And yet another Anne born May24th 1882.
