Gibb/Robb/Scott

I am searching for a William Gibb who was married to a Joan Robb but by 1914 she was married to an Alexander Scott. Not sure if Robb was her maiden name or even a previous marriaed name. William and Joan appeared to have a son William Gibb who was married to Margaret Elizabeth Scott in 1914 in Fraserburgh Aberdeen aged 22. I have that marriage record but can find no trace of any marriages between William and Joan or Joan and Alexander. Any suggestions??

Do you have the birth record for the son William Gibb ?

That should give his parent's date and place of marriage [though it may not be accurate].

Looking in the 1911 census may find William with his parents or at least his mother and Mr Scott, that will help with his birth place to narrow down the many William Gibbs born at the same time, and his father's presumed daeth date.

This family looks like yours in 1901 at Fraserburgh.

Maybe Joan wasn't married to either men so you should maybe be looking for a birth of William Ogston around 1892. There are 2 but neither at Fraserburgh. There is a William Robb born at Fraserburgh in 1891.
